The Police Benevolent Foundation Establishes Memorial Fund to Aid the Beneficiaries of the Two Fallen West Memphis Police Officers

(May 21, 2010) -- The Police Benevolent Foundation, Inc. and the Arkansas Division of the Southern States PBA are in mourning today as two of their own, Officer Brandon Paudert and Officer Bill Evans, were shot and killed yesterday after making a traffic stop on Interstate 40 in West Memphis.......(05-21-10)

AR Screening

The other day I was driving along a beautiful two lane highway winding majestically through the Ozark Mountains. It was late in the evening so I decided to stop and get gas before I continued on my journey. While I was there the opportunity arose for me to speak briefly with a deputy who was waiting on his bride to complete her work day inside. PBF Awards Foundation Scholarship

The Police Benevolent Foundation awarded its inaugural Foundation scholarship to Jacob Rollins of Hazen, Arkansas at a presentation event planned and hosted by the Delta Chapter of the Arkansas Police Benevolent Foundation.  President Ken Barton pulled out all stops to make the event a community affair and to pay honor to the student and his family. I Joined the PBA For Peace of Mind

I joined the PBA for peace of mind.  In today's time you never know what might happen.  I now know there is someone on my side when I need it. I also find it comforting knowing there is no limit to the help I will receive.  Another benefit is having an area chapter made up of fellow officers from my area.  I have met several officers that I probably would have not met otherwise.

Letter From An Arkansas Member

I have been in law enforcement since 1988, and in the late 90’s, I learned what I was missing by not being a member of the PBA. In late 1997 and most of 1998, I was working as an investigator for a sheriffs department in eastern Arkansas. We took down three or four “chop shops” where the operators were involved in the meth trade, body swings and altering VIN numbers on stolen late-model.....  (5/8/06)

 

Members Should Attend More Meetings

Having recently attended the last two chapter meetings that have been held in Monticello, AR, I would like to take the time to tell everyone how much this was an exciting experience for me to attend these meetings and see for myself how this really works.
