A shooting is very stressful. I could not imagine going
through something like this without the comfort and peace of
mind your organization provided. Mr. Nance made sure that I
was able to contact him. He even provided his home number.
Thanks to all of you. I will always be a member. Thank God I
had a good leader that sat me down and explained how
important this organization is.

Sheriff’s Department in North Carolina was involved in an
on-duty shooting incident on January 12, 2005. He was
cleared by the S.B.I. as well as the District Attorney.
Captain Hammond was represented by PBA Attorney Jim Nance.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the assistance that was
provided to me approximately two months ago. I was involved
in an on-duty shooting. The shooting was recently cleared by
the S.B.I. You don’t know how much it means to have someone
on site looking out for my interests and not the SBI’s.

--Mr. Jenkins is with the Halifax County Sheriff’s
Department in North Carolina. Mr. Jenkins was involved in a
shooting incident on March 19, 2005. He was represented by
PBA Attorney Sam Barnes.
