The
North Carolina Police Benevolent Association is pleased to learn of the
selection of Chief Harry Dolan as the new police chief for the City of
Raleigh.
Chief Dolan provides the strongest sense of leadership, professionalism
and integrity that is so fundamentally important for a police chief.
Chief Dolan was the first Senior Vice President of the local PBA Chapter
in Raleigh when he was a Raleigh Police Officer in the mid 1980s.
According to the NCPBA Executive Director John Midgette who was also a
member of the original local PBA board with Chief Dolan, “What made
Harry a special leader was the fact that he led by example, was highly
respected and fought for officers’ pay, benefits, and other interests
with honesty, integrity, and intelligence. He was the consummate
professional. We know that he brings these same qualities to the table
as Raleigh’s new police chief.”
