PBA publishes letter to RPPA President

Raleigh Police Association Teamster President Rick Armstrong has recently published a purported rebuttal to fact-based literature issued from the Raleigh-Wake Chapter of PBA to Raleigh officers.

President Armstrong’s claims about PBA’s history on legislative and other efforts both state wide and locally and our membership are complete fiction.

PBA does not dispute the RPPA President’s efforts to advocate the (4) four benefits he has claimed for Raleigh officers over the past eight years.

The RPPA President decided to leave one organization that never passed any legislation for its members to join another organization that has never introduced pro-labor law enforcement legislation in North Carolina. This is simply a fact.

For the record, PBA does not engage in “attacks” on other organizations. PBA did distribute a fact-based flyer to Raleigh police officers offering membership in an organization with a solid reputation, backed by true, actual, and documented accomplishments. We will continue to do so. As we grow, our accomplishments will grow as well.

PBA has written to the RPPA President encouraging him to set the record straight. Since he has decided to publish his fictional account of PBA’s history and efforts on behalf of our members, we are publishing our letter to him.

If you have any questions regarding PBA or its benefits, please do not hesitate to contact me, another board member, our Raleigh division office, or our website for the facts about PBA.
