Congressional Elections

 

PBA endorsed candidates elected to 110th Congress.


The Southern States Police Benevolent Association membership conducted screenings of, and endorsed, candidates for twenty-four of the seats in the US House of Representatives. Of those endorsed, fifteen were elected. They included:

Charles Pickering (R) 3rd MS
Bob Ethridge (D) 2nd NC
Walter Jones (R) 3rd NC
David Price (D) 4th NC
Robin Hayes (R) 8th NC
Sue Myrick (R) 9th NC
Patrick McHenry (R) 10th NC
Mel Watt (D) 12th NC
Brad Miller (D) 13th NC
Joe Wilson (R) 2nd SC
David Davis (R) 1st TN
Jo Ann Davis (R) 1st VA
Robert Scott (D) 3rd VA
Thomas Davis III (R) 11th VA

 

One candidate for the US Senate was screened and endorsed by the PBA, James Webb (D) of Virginia. He was elected. With his election, the balance of power in the Senate shifted.
