Under existing law, the protection against disclosure of certain personal identifying information about a state employee on any document is available for public inspection applies only to those state employees who are subject to the state Merit System. A bill that is sponsored by the Alabama PBA would amend Section 41-13-7, code of Alabama 1975, to expand that protection against disclosure to include employees of the criminal justice sector employed at any level of government within the state.
