The Police Benevolent Foundation set to host the Officer John Taylor 5k Recovery Run in Roanoke Rapids this Weekend
April 12, 2011 This Saturday, April 16, 2011, the Police Benevolence Foundation and the North Carolina PBA will be holding the Officer John Taylor 5k Recovery Run. This event is being organized by two officers and friends of John Taylor, Deputy Sheriff J. Puhak and Master Officer M. Moseley and the Police Benevolent Foundation, Inc. The purpose of this event is to raise community awareness of the dangers in the law enforcement profession and to promote physical fitness. |

Ripley Mississippi Comes to the Aid of a Fallen Officer
December 14, 2010 On Friday, December 10, 2010 the Police Benevolent Foundation along with members of the Mississippi Police Benevolent Association rallied together to raise funds for a fallen brother. Tippah County, MS Sheriff's Deputy Dewayne Crenshaw was shot and killed while responding to a call in the early morning hours of December 3rd in Ripley, Mississippi. Deputy Crenshaw was a decorated military veteran as well as an outstanding law enforcement officer, and the PBF wanted to make sure that the Ripley community had a way to show their support for the family of this hero who paid the ultimate sacrifice. The PBF, MSPBA, Action News 5 in Memphis, TN and the Ripley Wal-Mart came together to hold a 15-hour fundraiser for the family of Deputy Crenshaw. This magnificent display of community support and unity took place outside of the Ripley Wal-Mart store, and Action News 5 broadcasted live coverage from the scene throughout the day. |
