September 17, 2011, the Police Benevolence Foundation and will be holding the first annual Race for the Fallen half marathon at Red Top Mountain State Park in Cartersville, GA. Please join the PBF and runners from all across the country as we pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting the communities that we live in.

Cary Chapter of the North Carolina Police Benevolent Association endorses Michelle Muir for Mayor of Cary

The Cary chapter of the North Carolina Police Benevolent Association recently hosted candidate interviews for those seeking election/re-election to the Cary Town Council. On August 29, 2011, candidates for Mayor, District B, District C, District C, and an At-large race met with a screening committee to discuss issues that will improve the lives of officers and the law enforcement profession.

Police Benevolent Foundation Presents Plaque of Appreciation to Stella Nova Technologies Inc

The Police Benevolent Foundation recently presented a plaque of appreciation to employees of Stella Nova Technologies Inc. in Wake Forest, NC. Stella Nova Technologies is a growing technology company comprised of seasoned retail professionals working alongside experienced developers of point-of-sale, web and other applications designed for the retail environment. The plaque presentation was for a $250 donation that the company had made to the PBF.

Cary Chapter Seeks Support for Officer Chad Penland

The Police Benevolent Foundation and the Cary Chapter of the North Carolina Police Benevolent Association are rallying behind PBA member and fellow officer Chad Penland. He was involved in an on-duty motorcycle accident on July 15th and hospitalized for his injuries. The Cary chapter hopes to alleviate some of the expenses for his family as they support Chad and his recovery efforts.

The Bonds of Law Enforcement

Traditionally, law enforcement officers have a highly ingrained sense of honor bound duty to assist each other during times of crisis. We normally see this exemplified in the performance of their daily duties, wherein they routinely risk their lives to protect citizens and fellow officers.
