VAPBA Culpeper Chapter Update

The Police Benevolent Foundation and Virginia PBA set to aid critically injured Alexandria Police Officer Peter Laboy

The Police Benevolent Foundation, Inc. and the Virginia Division of the Southern States PBA are rallying behind Alexandria Police Officer Peter Laboy who was shot on February 27th after making a routine traffic stop in Alexandria. The bullet struck Officer Laboy in the head, critically injuring him. Officer Laboy was flown to Medstar Washington Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

PBA of Georgia 2013 State Legislative Report (March)

March 1st was the 27th legislative day. Under normal circumstances, a bill originating in one chamber must cross over to the other chamber by the 30th legislative day to have any chance of passing this year. Those bills that do not pass this year may be held over until next year.

PBA's response and assistance for critically injured Alexandria Chapter member Peter Laboy and his family

March 5, 2013

Alexandria Chapter member Peter Laboy was shot on February 27th after making a routine traffic stop in Alexandria. The bullet struck Officer Laboy in the head, critically injuring him. The PBA is committed to serving our members and will respectfully and systematically fulfill all of our benefit promises made to our members. I wanted to outline the PBA's response to this incident and what we are planning on doing to ensure Pete and his family get everything they need during this horrible time.

Introduction of HB-329 and SB-268

Under existing law, the protection against disclosure of certain personal identifying information about a state employee on any document is available for public inspection applies only to those state employees who are subject to the state Merit System.
